The Vercani's / Albania

Bani and Zamira Vercani work in Elbasan, Albania, running both New Heights Elbasan and an English Language School.

New Heights Elbasan Church vision is to reach people for God by humbly serving them, and lead them to understand that the main end of their life is to know God and lay Him before all things. There are several ministries which  we do to fulfill this calling and go on paths that God opens while we serve Him. 

Sunday service is the ministry when most of believers come together to worship in one Spirit and truth, learn from the word of God, have Communion and strengthen the relationship of the body. It is the time when believers invite friends, relatives and people they meet to present them with the Good News and the love of Christ. 

English Language School is a ministry which serves every year to 300 students age 8 to 50 years old. While they come to learn English we share the Gospel with them through teachings, personal testimonies, annual Christian programs, praying and distributing Bibles and Christian literature. Many of them have come to Christ and become part of church body. 

Saturday Children and Teens ministry: children and teens learn about Jesus stories, His Character and how to follow Him. They worship, pray, have fellowship and play together. 

Women’s ministry is a very important one for the very reason that women are one of the most vulnerable group in our Muslim society and family. They come together and  encourage each other in prayer and learn to be humble and patient in Christ. 

Church planting and Bible Distribution: We have planted a church in one of the most remote and poorest areas in Albania- Grabova. We continue to go there to encourage that church grow.  This ministry is also focused in several villages around Elbasan distributing Bibles, Christian Literature and sharing The Good News with people we meet.
