Requirements for Global Workers

Global Outfitters sends Global Workers in four ways:

1.) Short-Term Workers: Go into a cross-cultural season of one year or less.

2.) Long-Term Workers: Go into a cross-cultural season of one year or more.

3.) Partnership Development: People who develop partnerships with other local entities.

4.) Global Mobilizers: People who work locally to grow and develop the hearts of others to reach the nations.

Global Outfitters requires the following to receive varied forms of support:

1.) Membership in New Heights Church for at least one full year.

2.) Serve/Connect at New Heights Church. By serving, you will become rich in friends and senders.

3.) Commissioning by Elders and Staff.

4.) Take Perspectives of the World Christian Movement, offered every spring in several Northwest Arkansas locations or by extension.

5.) Choose a "Global Coach" or someone who will help you stay connected to the church.

6.) Sign up for discernment prayer sessions or counselling with the Joshua Center.

These are strongly encouraged while preparing to go:

1.) Spend time with our team at the GO Center.

2.) Come to Global Tuesdays at 2:00 pm (recommended)

3.) Take Equip Classes offered in the Spring and Fall (recommended)

4.) Read from our list of suggested reading.

5.) Undergo reasonable medical and spiritual checkups.

6.) Raise support, we suggest the Support Raising Boot Camp (CMM), held regularly if you need more confidence in this area.

7.) Gain expert advice in communication methods and leave your contact information with us.

8.) Connect with one "Volunteer Caregiver" (Global Coach) who will serve as a conduit of care between you and our team.

9.) Foster a deep prayer life, you may wish to be involved in the Fayetteville Prayer Room (FPR) next to the GO Center on College Street.
